In May 2021 I was asked to take over the Newlyn Society of Artists newsfeed for 3 days, posting work which would be eventually be part of the NSA125 show at Tremenheere Gallery in October and was also featured on the poster promotion for the show. This exhibition, curated by Lisa Wright celebrated the past, present and future of the Society. My work was made to acknowledge the influence that the artist Jesse Leroy Smith had on my understanding of assemblage which I have made for many years. Seeing Jesse making and taking seriously such objects made me realise that I was making important work, which I had failed to properly value.
